2012 GT500 Recaro Racing Seat??

Hey guys I was reading an article earlier today about the 2012 GT500 to get the Recaro Racing Seat from the Boss 302 as an SVT option and as well as some other feature's from the Boss 302 like the adjustable suspension, rear seat delete, alcantara steering wheel, and the dual exhaust??

Any Body heard about this??

Is the Z28 gunna get similar options like this or better??

Right now, we don't have a lot of specifics about the upcoming Z28, or whatever the rumors want to call it. All I can say is that it is going to be a big winner for a lot of reasons.

Most Z28 info is brother-in-law's hairdressers sons girlfriends dad works at GM and says something. The more Ford does, the more GM will do. The only one that crys about it is Al Gore.

The GT500 is made by Ford, not Shelby. There are rumors that the Shelby Branding may be allowed to expire in the near future. However market position that the GT500 fills (factory beast) will continue, perhaps as a SVT version, or Cobra version, etc.

The 2010 and 2011 already have alcantara used throuhgout the interior, including the steering wheel, so this is nothing new.

By dual exhaust, I assume you mean the electronic dumps, as dual exhaust is standard on the base and GT Mustang, let alone the GT500.

GT500 gets the Recaro seats for 2012, and there are currently no plans to let the Shelby naming scheme expire after 2012. Of course anything can change particularly since that decision is obviously not up to Ford alone. Right now, the revival of the SVT Cobra in place of the Shelby-SVT GT500 is apparently little more than wishful thinking from a very small, but very vocal, group of SVT Cobra die-hards.

The SVT cobra is still the best mustang ever made IMO. But it seems one could argue that the upcoming Z/28 would be the spiritual succesor to the cobra but with a much stronger IRS and more balanced weight distrubution.

not quite, a SVT mustang will never be called GT500 without Shelby name.
The SVT cobra and GT500 are to different machines, with two different purposes, one was truefully inspired by competition, the other was from nostalgia.

The Cobra was a great bang for the buck car, but woefully outclassed by 2011 GT500 in every way. The Z28, or whatever it will be called, will be doing well to be on-par with the new Shelby.
