Best of all, we finally got rid of that 3.4L V6 and put two brand new powerplants in this car, the 2.4L DI I-4 and 3.0L DI V6. Both linked to standard 6-speed automatic transmissions.

And there's word that the vast majority of GM's 4/6 cylinder engines in the future will come standard with Direct Injection...

That's a massive improvement on the current design. I wouldn't touch the current one, but this I would drive.

This is a great move by GM. Making it go 30 mpg is a huge step toward giving GM the green image it needs.

the first thing i looked for - is the windshield inset two feet like the last version? it does, however, remind me more of a trailblazer than an equinox.
