One final thought to the producers...why not hold a contest of the fan base and pick three new CAR GUYS every season. It promotes Fan participation, you get passionate people and you get a larger pool of prospective hosts to chose from.

Yeah he would be good, I think a little TOO happy though.
Who wouldnt be when you have a HUGE budget,every tool you could want or need, all your parts given to you and spend all day doing a show about building YOU OWN car. Bless him for it, he seems like a real nice guy.

I picture someone a little more critical of things, who is willing to say something really sucks when it does but not in a syrupy laugh track sort of way.....hey just for laughs how about "Click and Clack" the Tappet brothers on NPR...LOL
