thats relevant to the GTR's performance how?

my problem with that list is it doesnt point out which laps were wet or not...

the Z06 is faster anywhere past 60 mph.

with the Z07 package costing a bit less than 10k (keeping the z06 price still under the GTR) the Z06 will be faster around a track as well... win goes to chevy performance wise.

for which claim? Z07 package has not been tested officially yet by any magazine, but tell me with a straight face that the ZR1 suspension and brakes will not shoot the Z06 past the GTR in an otherwise neck and neck race.

I'll believe it when I see it. People thought the Nismo 370z would perform much better than a standard 370z...Turns out in some test, the 370z was actually better.
Not to mention that the GTR around a track is a pretty close race with the zr1. Now take away some power, and I think it could go either way

My list wasn't out of date when I posted. Way to pay attention.

honestly I am not sure. The ZR1 has a good bit more hp than the z06.

And the GT-R is very stout.

but the Z06 is a couple hundred lb lighter than the ZR1 which is a bit more useful on a track.

i too would like to see some proof...

not that i'm doubting it, the logic makes sense. i would just like to see something like that go down.

The Carbon also stops and corners just like its big brother, coming to a halt from 60 mph in 93 feet (97 in the ZR1) and lapping the Motor Trend figure eight in just 23.3 seconds with 1.07 lateral g (23.1 seconds and 1.10 lateral g in the ZR1).

Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz0vIk6iGD2

thats from the first test of the Z06 Carbon (not any lighter than the regular Z06).

while in the most recent motortrend test they clocked the GTR at 60-0 in 103 feet, .98 lateral G's, and the figure 8 in 24.4 seconds @ .81 avg G's

obviously we wouldnt be able to get a real gauge without testing the two cars on the same day

The looks don't grab me. but I do love the fact its faster than alot of supercars and yet quite a bit more practical.

My doctor owns one. Keep bugging him for a test drive..lol.
