A friend of mine lives in the Woodlands. (In fact he drives a silver c6 z06.) He said he's seen the c5 around town numerous times, and the c5 driver was always driving like a jerk. Not surprising that it caught up with him, I guess. Idiot!!!!

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office issued arrest warrants on Wednesday for two men involved in the now infamous Woodlands Parkway Thanksgiving Day street racing incident that was recorded on a cellphone then posted online where it went viral.
Roy Wayne Bowden and Brian Andrew Herbert are charged with Racing On Highway Causing Bodily Injury, with bond recommendation set at $30,000 for each.
The video, posted on YouTube, was titled "Two Turkeys on Thanksgiving Wrecking their Corvettes in The Woodlands," and had over a million hits in only a few days. Bystander Gerod Rush noticed Bowden and Herbert revving their engines at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and Montfair and he recorded the race and crash with his smart phone.
The video shows a child on a bicycle and an adult crossing the intersection before the light changes to green and the real action begins. The two Corvettes screech their tires as they fly through the intersection. One of the Vettes then goes out of control colliding with the other, landing both in the tree-lined median.
Herbert, whose license was suspended at the time of the crash, was transported by EMS to an area hospital complaining of leg pain and dizziness, but was not seriously injured. At the time of the crash, both denied to authorities they were racing.
As of this writing, neither has been arrested.

That video was like a teenager with a.... Over way too soon.

What a waste of two Corvettes! At least no one was seriously hurt. These two will, hopefully, learn their lesson.

Have to agree, the mod got it wrong in this case. It wasn't a street racing story but a what not to do dumb ass video that might actually deter someone from trying it themselves.

I've see hundreds of these type of videos on this forum that didn't get deleted.

Since one was 23, suspended license, driving a c6 vette, and mommy insisted he be taken to the hospital rather than jail...it makes me wonder.

Yeah... I think it was an Ops... then... maybe we could leave this one open as a lesson to be learned.

This is really some serious stuff and I've seen this scenario happen many times without any incident. But the guy on the right totally screwed up and if you're the guy on the left you don't have much control over it.

On this mornings news they just said due to this video the DA issued warrants for both of them..

Just wondering what caused the right corvette to veer into the left? I have fishtailed before due to excessive wheelspin when accelerating, but I just eased off the gas and the car straightened itself. What did the corvette do wrong?
