I really like the Challenger also. For a while i was confused if I should get a Camaro or a Challenger. They are both very good looking cars.

To all those who have added to this thread:
THANKS! It proves my point that real muscle car lovers are truly a brotherhood (sorry ladies, don't have a better term) and have class: A class of our own, much like Harley owners. Frankly, I was hesitant about posting on this forum but being a Camaro fan as well, I gave it a shot. I understand the competitive nature of the beast (like your favorite sports team), but the nasty thrashing some people add on car forums simply shows... well, you be the judge. It's not just here, some Challenger forums are the same, along with others.
Clearly, we all have passion for our cars - I sure as hell do and so does most everyone else who loves muscle cars, even if you don't own one. I didn't own one for a 27 year spread (geez), but I admired them, read lots of magazines and went to a lot of car shows even though it was torturous (because I couldn't justify buying one at the time). I think the real difference between a muscle car "lover" and a muscle car "owner" is the lover knows the history and has some kind of personal relationship with a particular car (or cars) and an owner just knows HP, torque and popularity. It's easy to spot the "owners" because they are the first to brag about how their car has more HP, how they easily beat another competing muscle car and readily slam any other car different from their own. Bottom line: A muscle car lover has a real connection to their car and other muscle cars because of life experiences, not because of what a certain magazine said or what their buddy thinks. As for those newly entering the world of muscle cars, you'll have to figure out where you stand on your own. I love'm all, own a new Challenger and have been hoping to own another Camaro (either a late 60's model or a new one) in the future. Regardless, enjoy your ride, have some good natured competitiveness and join the brotherhood if you're not already there.

I've got my own opinions about the new Challengers, but I won't flame anyone for liking or buying one.

Now that I've got my 2SS, it's fantastic. I love the rumble of the V8 and I haven't had any trouble driving or parking it. Maybe it's just because I've driven Camaros for six years, but I don't know. It's like this car was made for me. I also don't have any real complaints about the visibility other than maybe the fact that sometimes I can't pull up as far when coming to a light, but who cares? I think you hit the nail on the head. If you want a really great experience with a car, find the one that resonates with you. Who cares what others think? It's your life.

Nice thread. I don't own any muscle cars at the moment but I plan to be a future owner, and would gladly own all three if I Could ( maybe I will who knows? ). I'm just glad there are still people who enjoy and believe in the American Muscle car. I cant see myself owning anything else.
