ZR1 is a beast on the track and ring times prove it.
Who owns it now, is it the ACR or ZR1? I know they each had their title at one point
id definately take the ACR. The ZR1 might be fast but in the end its still only a Corvette. If there was a 100,000 dollar mustang that outperformed both of them id still take the Viper for the same reason, its still just a mustang and at that price range a corvette or mustang aint worth it, looks wise.

Thumbs up ZR1 FTW

Well with a 600 plus pound weight advantage and the same basic power and the fact the ZR1 has been in the lower 10 second range stock with just a good cool down and DR's I think its ZR1 all the way.

Now I could not afford a ZR1 or a new Z06 when I was looking to buy a new car, I did look at the Grand Sport and the GT500, I chose a GT500 I come from the GM camp though and have always had SBC powered 2nd gen 1970-1972 Z28's, those are the cars I grew up on.

The new GT500 is like an old muscle car in many ways just put on Van Halen II and light up the rear tires .

Down the road I will have a Z06 I no longer just shop one brand I like many different cars and a ZR1 would be an awesome machine to own, sans the fact to plate that car here in Jefferson county Colorado would cost with taxes around 13K.

We should all be grateful we live in an era with 600 plus HP showroom cars whether they be GM, Ford or Dodge.

lol but seconds is still alot. Both are great cars, looks wise, sound wise, id go ACR hands down

At first I thought this was another GT500 vs ZL1 thread. No. No Stock factory mustang is going to beat a stock factory ZR1. What world are you living in? Also I get why Ford dropped the GT. It was a money loser for them. Let GM do with the Corvette what it does well. Get that thing hanging with the Exotics. The GT500 isn't an exotic. It's just muscle.
