Damn ! Your apartment complex doesn't mess around. Painters there already. Keep them rented or no money I guess. Paint won't get rid of that smoke smell if there is carpet in there.

I have two rentals. No smoking is my rule for that reason.

There was an apartment fire nearby that wiped out the entire complex and displaced dozens of families.

Cause of the fire was a tossed cigarette butt smoldering in a planter on a windy day out on a porch.

Folks didn't smoke in their apartment and it still damn near burned the building down.
