That was NBC not CNN. Toyota sold alot to fleet as well, until they couldn't sell Camry's and Corolla's. Then GM, Ford, and Chrysler all got a big bump in fleet sales. That said, having half your sales going to fleet (like Chrysler just did) is unhealthy.

I agree, I do believe when the Avenger and whatever they decide to call the Chrysler, hit late this year, if they are are as good as described, that should be a huge help. The Caliber got a new competitive interior this year that should help some until it's 2012 replacement comes out. Back to the 2 midsizers, the exteriors, interiors, suspesion and engines are all supposed to be heavily revised and it is not supposed to look or feel like the current cars. IMHO, for now, those 2, the Charger (police sales), 300 (the flagship), and the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler (heritage and volume sales), the GC/T&C minivans are the most important vehicles getting major revisions or redesigned over the next 12 months.

I agree with the last part of your statement. But even when they will release the new gens and updates, is 8 cars enough to really pull chrysler through. And even though they did update the caliber's exterior and although they will put new sheet metal and on the avanger and sebring, they won't change the minds of car consumers, the reputation of these three cars is trashed for good. And for chrysler it's best to get rid of the extra baggage, keep the minivans, charger, challenger, 300, grand cherokee, wrangler, ram, ram trucks, and viper, and bring in the all of the alfas, lancia delta, and the fiat cars that I mentioned in a previous post.

I mean, heck they were trying to sue a highschool down in florida that borrowed the fordham prep and university logo. That's just a waste of time and money.
