pulled over for a dumb reason - Page 3

I just found out not to long ago that is illegal to have license plate frames, I guess it blocks the registration sticker and the writing on the license plate, but I have had frames on plates for years and never been pulled over for them.

Think it would depend on the frame. If the frame blocks those things then yeah, a cop could decide to bust you on it. But too many dealerships put license plate frames on new cars for ALL of them to be illegal.

I had one on my wife's Honda...everytime I got pulled over...the officer would mention it...but it wasn't the reason why I got pulled over. Took it off after the 5th time lol

On the other hand...my mom has one on her Sienna (van) since '01...no issues at all lol
