2014 vs 2015?

The 2015's is definitely more responsive. I remember when we had the 2014, we'd hit the accelerator and say, "Is this it?" all through the power band. With the 2015, there was a slight bit of hesitation right at first but then it was all go from there. Hell, we managed to break the tires loose with traction control on while the 2014 wouldn't do anything of the sort.

Maybe my butt dyno is off but like I said, the 2014's V6 was a huge disappointment in my eyes, especially compared to the LLT Camaros I've driven. The power delivery just wasn't there. I haven't driven an LFX Camaro but it's probably an even bigger difference.

Having owned both the LLT and LFX I have to say I was disappointed when I changed. I expected the LFX with more HP to be noticeably quicker, but as soon as I pressed down on the gas I noticed the change in throttle response, it was slower than my 2010 was, it just did not feel as fast. When I added the Vitesse to my 2012 and set it on 5 brought it to the level of response I was expecting from it. I just wish I had not had issues with it.

I'm going to assume the 14 you drove had the high rear end (it was like 2.73, or 3.05 or something like that?), while the 15 model may have had the optional 3.31s or 3.55s.

The 2011 - 2014 V6 Mustang with the optional PP with the lower gearing was definitely quicker in a straight line....for sure. Not saying the 2015 doesn't have nice response, or that it doesn't feel better to drive, but I can't imagine it being faster being heavier, with slightly less peak power, and a gearing option equal to, or higher than a 14 V6 with PP.
