Grossly... is not easy to prove when it usually comes down to 1 vs. 1.

And I'm just quoting Judge Judy because it is true... rarely will judges give out time or any kind of punitive damages, no matter who is the defendant. There job is to make you whole, not award bonus'. (I probably shouldn't have thrown in the "especially..." part)

Brantely847, are you not one of the clowns that called for this to be closed because i didnt respond quick enough on my original post? If you read the whole post you would of saw that i was headed to court. I believe in being fair and respectful of those that are respectful of me. you have assumed that i was hiding something or not telling the whole story. Thanks fellow camaro5 member for sticking together. Having a difference in viewpoints is fine but dont assume that this thread is bogus just becasuse you may be a cop and you are somehow sticking up for a cop with a major personality flaw. I posted this to share with you my experience only. not to bash cops because i respect their job and what they have to go thru every day for the profession they chose. If abuse your authority then you should have your authority stripped. if cops were elected this guy would be out of a job. He should of simply written me a ticket, checked for warrants and moved on. i would of said have a nice day and be safe. pretty simple.

You got you case dropped and i'd be happy with that. Fact is you will be hard pressed and out more time and money to try and recover anything. Been there and done that. Not to mention the more crap you stir up. The more you might be watched more closely. Just the way it goes.

im not going to fight it. It wont be worth it in the long run. Another poster mentioned that he may be reviewed anyway due to the nature of his actions. drawing his weapon. Like i said in previous post, maybe this kid will learn from this and become a fine peace officer, and to apply a little common sense in his job.

Would that even be legal for the police to tow your car from your own driveway without a warrant?
