Hi, im dave. I drive a hyundai.

Hi, im bill. I drive a BMW.

You just mentally seperated the two into different classes based on what you know about them. Its basic psych.

most of the time if I see someone in a Bimmer I think stuck up or a douche lol and both are normally true or they are someone trying to come off like a big shot. Hyundai to me seems like someone wanted a car, something with a good bang for the buck(not performance wise) and something to get them around with little hassle. I used to care about the type of car I had, but never had anything that would say I was flashy or trying, the Lincoln LS alittle but I just loved the style of that car but got bored. I am a small coupe person.

i sat in a black track model today. holy crap, that's seriously a nice car! inside and outside, much better than expected. the front looks much better in person if you ask me. the shifter is a little weird though.

they said "we don't do test drives with the coupe" and the car hat a 3k markup. i laughed and left.

i suggest everybody should at least go sit in it. if you can get over your own ego that is.

You see, the thing that differentiates you from me is that, I dont go by stereotypes. I make my judgments based on who the person is, not by what they have or what society portrays them as. Stereotypes are just wrong.

If people organize life into little boxes and compartmentalize it to make their understanding easier, then they miss out on the mysteries, the suspense and fun of life itself. Let yourself go.

Hey guys, you know what the say. The difference between a BMW and a porcupine is that with a BMW, the pricks are on the inside.

People who say they don't stereotype make me laugh.

You do it whether you choose to act on it or not. Basic psych. I'm a Psych major. Your not going to win this one. People use stereotypes as a way to classify individuals without actually meeting them as part of your subconscious schema.

I drove a Genesis coupe 3.8 Base model with the 6-speed automatic about a month ago. To be honest, I really wasn't expecting to be blown away by it or anything, but came away very impressed. Sure, the interior looked a bit plasticky (didn't look any cheaper than the interior on my Mustang, hell if anything it looked/felt less cheap!), but once I got underway I was very surprised at how the car drove.

Steering was very nicely weighted and responsive (not too far from the 370Z I drove a couple weeks before), suspension felt like it was tuned just right (not teeth-rattling firm but not land-yacht soft, either), brakes worked well, and accelerated well enough to be entertaining (for me), though not as quick as the 370Z (6-speed) I drove, it didn't feel that much slower than my GT. The ZF 6-speed automatic, which had paddle shifters behind the wheel (and lacked enough tactile feel, IMO), was very smooth and responsive, and I don't recall it trying to 'take over' for me when manually shifting with the paddles.

As for looks, well, that's a subjective thing, but I thought overall it was quite sleek. The only things I didn't care for was the grille and the 1/4 windows.

As I stated earlier, I was quite impressed with the Genesis coupe. I wouldn't mind driving a 3.8 Track model with the 6-speed manual, which has quite a few goodies the Base model I drive didn't (Torsen LSD, Brembo brakes, Bridgestone RE050 summer tires, stiffer suspension).

Sat in one at the auto show and let me tell you, it was a nice car and got alot of attention. It reminded me very much of the G37 as did the interior. Dare I say the interior was much better than that of the 2010 camaro I sat in.

Exactly, guys named Dave usually have less money than guys named Bill. That's common knowledge.

i'm sorry but i just can't see this beinga performance vehicle it's more of a luxury car with some spunk... turbo 4 cyl is 7.7 0-60, the v6 is high 5 second ok... lets set some ground's here... (yes i'm bench racing trust me if i saw one and it wanted to race id race it) but... my cobalt imo is a cheap fast car as in if you bought a cobalt ss and wanted luxury you bought the wrong car... but my turbo 4 has the same 0-60 as the 30,000 dollar v-6 genisis more luxurious? YES! by far. better performer? about the same... i guess the point i'm trying to make is... it's just not worth the money performance wise imo you could buy a V-6 hyundai for ~30,000 or... a V-8 Camaro for ~ 30,000 for performance Camaro... for luxury it's a toss up idk i haven't been in either
