I walked into a huge store one day, just browsing around. I turned the corner, and we met eye to eye. I saw her, she saw me. I could tell she was smiling. I walked up to her. Probably had a gleem in my eye. There was definitely one in hers. I felt the chemistry right then and there. Her body was phenominal. Perfect in every way. Then she spoke...and oh my, it was all over at that point.

I then took the keys from the dealer and drove off in her!

Well, it all started like this...

My high school sweetheart of over 2 yrs had broken up with me when I was just starting college...

I was working in a local dept store as a cashier through high school and college too...

My husband Keith started working there shortly after I got dumped by my boyfriend...he was the same age as me...

He was working as a stockboy, but sometimes helping the cashiers to pack the bags for the customers...

I had a crush on him immediately...we started out as friends for a few months before we actually dated...he had just been dumped too...

So, every night after work, we would hang out in the parking lot talking for hours...

Finally, after being friends for a few months, we actually went on a double date with a couple that also worked there...

We hit it off right away and we lived close to each other too, so we were inseparable...

We dated exclusively for almost 2 yrs before he decided he wanted to date others (*gasp, cry*)...I was against the idea, but he said that we weren't breaking up, we were just seeing if the grass was greener elsewhere...

I was totally heartbroken and devasted, but I figured I'd also give the dating thing a try...so we dated others, but never broke up and still continued dating each other too...

After I graduated college, I got a job, but Keith had had to take 2 years off in order to make money to pay for the last 2 yrs of school...I was able to get him a part-time job at my company for holidays and summers...

When he finally went back to school, he chose a school 8 hrs and 400 miles away from me...:(

So, I kept on dating and dating and dating, all the while realizing that NO ONE measured up to Keith...no one made me laugh as much or have as much fun together as he and I did...

Ironically, my ex-boyfriend found me again, and we tried dating again and I realized we had nothing in common anymore and I stopped seeing him...if he had never dumped me, I would probably have been foolish enough to marry the first real boyfriend I had...

Keith also did me a favor in a way, because when he finally graduated college and got a job and proposed to me, we both knew from experience that there was NO ONE else for either of us...

At least we never had to ever wonder if there was someone better out there for either of us...

In the end, we dated for 7 years before we ended up getting married...we bought the Camaro for each other to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary last year, and now we are married 31 yrs and have been together for 38 yrs in total...(I know you must be thinking that I am ancient...lol...but we really started dating when we were just babies )

He is still my best friend and I still have the most fun with him and we have never ever doubted that we were meant to be together, right from the start!!!...

Scott, I guess you and I are the novel writers...lol...

BTW, Scott, I loved your 'love story' about you, Kathie, and the girls...it touched my heart!!!...

That's the way love should be. It's not just about the romance, deep down the person you spend your life with should be your best friend - someone who knows you at your best and worst and loves you as a whole. Someone who see's you as you truly are inside. Someone you can talk to about everything and anything. Awww

But ok, the serious story of how we met? Ok. We went to Jr. High and High School together. She was a very good Mormon girl. So we never hung out in the same circles and I was also a year older. We had an Arts and Crafts class together my senior year, she was a junior. I was sitting on the back table with a bunch of Dudes and we all took notice of how hot this Girl was. So one of my Buddies bet me a "Slurpee" from 7-11 () if I would ask her for Her number. Well I have no fear so i stepped to her and asked her. She replied "uh.....we just changed it and I don't know it".....

I went back to the table and said, "she looks good but boy is she stupid"!

Well the next day I was in Psychology Class and we had a new student, it was Her! There were many open seats but she came and sat right in front of me. We became really good friends and the reason she didn't give me her number was because she already had a boyfriend, but she soon learned the ways of the Sooch! The rest is history. We've been together for seventeen years and happily married fourteen years of that. We have two beautiful daughters and My Wife still is Girl of My Dreams!

What a beautiful love story, SSOOCH...I really enjoyed it...you and Mrs SSOOCH make the cutest couple, and your daughters are adorable too!!!

Thanks, Tessa...Keith is the best husband for ME...is he perfect, no...am I perfect, no...but marriage is all about compromise and putting each other's happiness first whenever possible without sacrificing too much of your own happiness to do it...that's my 2cents....
