You will need numbers for the road course. I don't know about custom numbers HOD may have their own numbering system, but I know some will let you contact them and will do first come first served on custom numbers. As far as the same numbers for drag I have no idea

I know the drags want right side of windshield and passenger window. But pictures of the road course from years past show numbers on doors. Also, can we choose our own number and have stickers made beforehand? I was thinking of having magnetic numbers made at Staples or a sign shop for the doors and vinyl for the windows. Any thoughts?
You can get your own number that can be used on Road Course and CamaroCross.
We will do our best to accommodate that number but you might want to be flexible and be able to swap them around or use different combos.

Drags will be written on the window by the track as you've seen before.

Maybe a dumb question but.....If I wait to have new headlights installed at the Fest, will not having one headlight operating correctly be a problem in tech on the road course. It is just passenger side low beam not working. My halos are my running lights & high beams work on both sides. BTW, I won't be running in rain if that is an issue.

Headlights should not be a problem on the track.

It is organizers' call so Mr. W and mlee will answer I'm sure, but I've never seen any organizer requesting lights to be on when weather was good. A few times, it was strongly recommended to have them on during pouring rain just so others can see, but if you are not planning to run in the rain, I don't think that should be the problem.

Many of my track buddies run cars that have no headlights.

As long as there are not mechanical parts hanging/loose that poses a danger of debris on the track - you'll be fine.

Sorry if this has already been covered. If I have straight pipes(no mufflers) it's my impression that I can't do the road course due to sound? Thanks

See Post #1 very last sentence.

You will definitely need some sort of muffler. There are decibel restrictions at NCM

*********************************

Driver Groups:

The exact configuration of driver groups will be determined in the very near future. For right now, we will run at the very least; Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Please see below for the general descriptions of each driver group.

Novice 1 - for drivers brand new to the hobby, 0 track days. Maybe some autocross. Never been to NCM.

Novice 2 - for drivers familiar with the road course environment. 1-3 track days and/or autocross experience. Never been to NCM.

Intermediate - for experienced drivers. These drivers have several track days under their belt, at different locations. NCM experience preferable, but not required.

Advanced - for long-experienced track rats and instructors. Many tracks, many cars, many years. NCM experience or Instructor status required.

To determine which driver group you will best fit into, please copy/past the following questions and answer them to the best of your ability in a post in this thread.

What clubs you have run track days with?
What tracks you have ran at?
Total number of track days...
Previous experience at this track and how many times.
Have you been previously solo approved, and if so where and by who? (Only required for "advanced" group)

I have magnetic numbers 0, 1, 3 & 5 for my car so I can be any combo those 4 numbers can make.

Don't know if it'll work as animated or not but.

That's all I've used mine for as well. Maybe someone could go out early to test them out?
