I agree. I was just playing too. The Corvette, Camaro, and G8 are the only cars on my list. They have these stryker blue G8's - there's 3 at a local dealer right now, G8 GT with premium and sport packages. If employee pricing comes back, they were $29,xxx. I've been fighting the G8 for a while.

GXP Model is supposed to come out in February now at $37k MSRP. I ALMOST considered the GXP because it really does seem to look much nicer than regular G8, but seeing as the Camaro is so much less expensive and I don't use back doors often I just can't justify it. Sticking with Camaro.

I test drove the G8 GT, and I was amazingly impressed with the car.
SO much interior room its not even funny. Hands down if I dont get the Camaro, im getting the G8. It all depends on if I can fit 4ea 6' guys in the camaro comfortably. The G8 reminded me a LOT of my boss's BMW 550, it felt much simpler, in a good way. |

Wow, some of you had the same choices I was thinking: Solstice, Sky, G8, then Camaro.
I was planning on getting the G8 GT earlier this year, but it had no manual tranny, then I heard of the GXP. I was really set on getting that car, until the Camaro again came into view. I dismissed it as being to expensive when I first saw the concept before, but when I saw people's 'educated' estimates of the price range, I was more attracted to it because of its pricing. If the G8 GXP is competitive in pricing to a 2SS, I'll have to do some soul-searching as well. Four doors often come in handy for me, but I'm short, so if the GXP is like 40k, I can adjust the seat in the Camaro.

I would say go with the Camaro, Don't get me wrong, I LOVE G8's, but you're still young, why drive a family sedan when you could be driving a hot coupe?
Once you've got kids then you can buy a G8 to park next to your Camaro. Just my opinion. |
