So they're honestly trying for more downforce? I believe this is kind of like overkill.

Not to rain on the ricer hating party here but ... unless you are drag racing, a rear wing is generally meant to improve handling, not acceleration (especially true for FWD cars). That doesn't change the fact that most ricers can't really go fast enough to ever make use of the extra downforce (although that might be why the wings are so massive ... to counter the lack of speed).

i honestly hope that hurts their time......

if it works it may fuel a new generation of ricers with bigger spoilers on the front of their car than the rear, and Lord knows we don't need that

"Love it or hate it, Chris Rado's fwing-equipped Scion delivered a 1:22.623 lap - destroying the competition in Unlimited FWD and shattering notions of what a front drive car is capable of. Apparently this was the fastest lap time ever recorded by a FWD vehicle at Willow Springs and no doubt this car will be even faster once Chris and the team get the boost issues figured out.

With the wing on the front he cut 5 seconds off his time from last year."

The front wing cut off 5 seconds... that's weird. But I wonder what else he has done to his tC.
