The ONLY thing that tends to cost more on a Vette than any other GM vehicle (with exception to new Caddys) tends to be the TIRES, and possibly Techno stuff like the HUD. General maintenance is pretty much equal in my experience. The only major thing I could see being a wee bit more expensive to work on would be work on the Tranny since it's sitting behind the DS. I would say go for the buy... If it's a stick... ask the owner to take U out for a spin and watch his shifting ability. If he can't drive stick properly... try to get him to ease up on the price by $2K at least.. because a clutch might be in your future.

Unless you plan on driving it a couple times a week make sure you invest in a battery tender. They like to eat batteries when they sit.
