Yea, what he said, DO NOT pay that for brakes. I do my own brakes all the time. If your truck is 4 wheel disc, which I assume it is since you need 4 rotors... it is a very easy task and parts are cheap. Find someone in Jersey that is willing to help you out with it or buy a Haynes manual and have at it. It may take you some time but its a good learning exeperience.

NOTE: this is assuming you have time, space and tools... otherwise, opent that wallet, but shop for cheaper first!

Like Banshee said, I'd do it but I am not any closer then him.

Even if you had basic tools, the cost of a hex bit to remove calipers is maybe $10 and you can rent a socket for the axle shaft hub nut.

We could meet up in Pittsburg, drive to Jersey at a rate of $20 an hour, complete the job in an 1 to 1.5 hours and return back to our respective homes for $700.

Heck, the hardest part of replacing rotors and pads is getting the wheels and brakes OFF.

Find a friend that has some parts, share a case of brew, and Bingo.

I hear you.... I wish I could do it myself but I would be afraid to screw it up.... I have no mechanically inclined freinds or I would hit them up.... I am not complaining about changing all four considering I got a 100k out of them. They are original equipment. Would love to learn how to do it...
