It's on SWB EpII, so Malibu-ish.

I never thought I would see the day a manual trans was to be offered in a BUICK! Of course, I said the same thing about the Cadillac CTS! Way to go, GM! Now we are talkin' some sweet lookin' high tech transport! Take that, Japan!:flag2:

This makes no sense to me in that case. A 4 banger in a car that big with no v-6 option. I thought buick was a more upscale car and they come out with this.

You rate a car based on it's engine? It's not that big, and the turbo 4 they plan on putting into it is a superior choice compared to a V6 in terms of weight/power for a car this size.

Sorry, But I rate every car based on the engine. I don't have a problem with a 4 when It's used in the right car. But, if this car is as big as a malibu I would want a 6 option. Isn't buick a more up scale car? It should get a more upscale motor if so.

V6 coming for 2012...

And did you bother to read the engines? A 182 horsepower 2.4L SIDI adequately powers the Equinox, a much bigger and heavier car, and there's also a 220 horsepower 2.0L Turbocharged I-4. That's more than enough for a midsize sedan.

Yea, I read it and I'm not impressed. Look at the bmw 1 series and the motor choices it has. That's what I would expect out of buick in a car this size if they want to compete. What brands is buick targeted at?

You're looking at the wrong car then. Cadillac is going after BMW. Buick is aimed primarily at Lexus and that class of luxury vehicles.
