the Hemi Orange Challengers look red at certain angles... so the car was probably the Orange color and, with cloud cover or different lighting, seemed red... they've got a few at the dealerships in ATX... I'll go up and get some pics sometime soon

2008's where automatics, SRT8 Trim only. They also only came in black, orange, and silver(only 10% built will be silver). # 39 was factory painted Petty blue and was auctioned off specifically for charity (final bid was over 250k) and will be a HUGE collectors item as it was the ONLY 2008 that was factory painted different.

2009's will start showing up beginning of september and will have all of the standard colors that you can currently get a dodge in, as well as have numerous options (including a manual) and be in 3 seperate trims (SE = V6, R/T = 5.7 hemi V8, SRT8 = 6.1 hemi V8).

I thought that was Challenger #43? Could be wrong though. I just figured Petty Blue=Petty #

it looks big, but I'd still like to own one. Along with liking to do a lot of things, like win the lotto.

My appologies you are correct dgthe3, It was number 43, and it went for 228k (had to check my facts after that slip up).

While we are on the topic, there was a hail storm and 35 of the 6900 2008 models where damaged, and in turn salvaged titles that will now be going to auction! (poor suckers that put money down and arn't getting thier cars!)

I was able to get up close to a black challenger this past weekend. I think it looks good but man is it big… If there was no beloved Camaro in our future, I’d roll one…
