If depreciation is your main concern then you should just pickup 2-3 year old cars and then roll in and out of them at the right time. Another option is to find 2 year leases.

I screwed that last post up bad. I meant to say quicker than the 5th Gen Camaro. Holy crap. Wow. From what I know the 6th Gen would be just as quick as the Corvette, some people have been getting crazy 0-60 and 1/4 mile times and it's only been out a few months. Anyhoo...horrible typo there. I'm surprised I didn't come back to see my account deleted. I wouldn't have blamed anyone for doing that lol.

And you hit the nail on the head for me man. I'm a numbers guy and it's hard enough for me to buy a car I enjoy because the numbers don't make sense. It's also very, very difficult for me to delve into the grey area. It's black or white for me, either a good investment, or a bad one. So I have to tell myself I'm doing my best to minimize the negative equity impact as best as possible in order to even halfway convince myself it's ok. And that, like you said, means 2-3 year old cars for a year or two, just kind of rolling in and out of them, enjoying them while I can without eating too much depreciation. The good thing about that...is that I get to experience a ton of cars that way!! And in a couple of years, I bet there will be a 6th Gen Camaro priced in a way that will make me hop on it, and a lot of the quirks will be worked out as well. That's another thing for me. I know what I'm getting with the Grand Sport. There are thousands upon thousands of threads that talk about pros and cons and quirks and this and that. I could read for years and never get through it all, but I've been reading long enough to know the major issues (like road noise, build quality, 6mt issues, etc). Since I'm looking at getting a 6AT (oh noes, he's not a real car driver) that last one shouldn't matter too much but yea. Thanks for all the good input.
