Looks to me like Jordan Lee and his crew over at GM small block engineering have a little work to do. This engine sounds amazing and apparently performs even better.

I'd really like to see how the two compare running a few laps on Laguna Seca or VIR. That would awesome. I can't image a better time to be a car guy.

I remember when Mustangs maxxed out around 28,000 and I thought that was a lot. We get a hell of a lot more car nowadays, but we're all paying a lot more too.

Results from the video:
0-60: 4.1 sec 1/4 mile: 12.4 sec @ 117.8 mph 60-0 Braking: 102 ft Lateral Acceleration: 1.00 G Figure Eight: 24.2 sec @ 0.82 G Compared to their Camaro SS results: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t-test-review/ 0-60: 4.0 sec 1/4 mile: 12.4 sec @ 114.6 mph 60-0 Braking: 104 ft Lateral Acceleration: 1.00 G Figure Eight: 24.1 sec @ 0.85 G They seem to be neck and neck. Can't wait to see MT's head to head. They'll have to skip over the GT and go straight to the GT350. |

I think on track the GT350 will have the advantage over the well equipped SS due to braking and top-end. However, that gap definitely won't be as big as Ford should be looking for. They need to shed weight for the next one. The GT350R will be really fast on track though.

Pretty sweet video, noticed the rear corners really lower and seem to dig well throughout the corner under accel power. Sounds awesome and that rpm range and pull is impressive. Pricing is interesting falling between and Zl1 and a Z28 I bet it will appeal to both prospective buyers. If I didn't have to give up the benz and the SS for one Id consider it strongly as a buyer, as the looks are there for me, more so then the 16 Camaro.

I was absolutely giddy when I took delivery of mine last night.... it arrived from the plant yesterday morning and I jumped on the first available flight so I can start to take her back home. Derklug1 is spot on with his comments....this car really shines mighty high on the track with curves & bends (I also experienced it on the track at Sebring last month) and the sound on the road is amazing! Simply astonishing & exotic the way the FPC engine sounds. Worth my 5-month wait!
Mine is a rare 2015 model... Avalanche Gray with Track Pkg. I didn't have the dealer install the front splitter just in case for loading purposes since I still have to ship it back tomorrow... |

I like the GT350 but what I really want to see is what the next GT500 will be.
