GM is doing that with the Malibu I believe and has done it with the last generation Impala. I think it has more to do with selling to fleets who don't mind getting brand new old cars.

I wouldn't mind having a Chevrolet Sonic hatchback as a 3rd vehicle because it has high gas mileage and it would make a nice urban runabout.

Nice car! I love the new impalas! But the price for those is ridiculous, If I'm gonna blow $40k+ on a car it'll be a used ZL1 for my summer car lol

just buy the cheapest car u can get as a dd...why throw money away on a car that will be worthless in no time anyway?
i got a hyundai and a company van...no way i'de buy anything exoctic as a dd...unless ofc i was stinking rich..even then i'm not sure i would...

That was my original plan. Something cheap and not too old either. However, I wanted something that I knew would start and drive day in and day out through the winter. So for those three categories, anything I wouldn't have to immediately drop 2500$ in parts, wasn't really worth the money.
