As an update, I just blew the $1,000 below MSRP I got and then some on a mod - Spent $1,500 on the CARBON FLASH METALLIC KIT, STREET STYLE that includes the front splitter and side skirts from Lashway Motor Sports - I told myself I was not going to mod the car given it is highly optioned, but the splitter and side skirts were too much to resist - Oh well - I'm trying not to look at any more mod offerings - Did get the Hurst shifter though, and some carbon fiber tape to cover the chrome grill bar, and some red light thing for under the hood - But that's it! - I swear!

Here's the thing, not everyone on this forum has always appreciated my wit and wisdom - And advice and counsel - As a first time Corvette buyer, who has resisted the temptation to buy a Corvette until this car that is the evolution and culmination of all the best of Corvettes, I enthusiastically embrace the C7 that is as good if not better than any sports car ever (including the interior), I approach this car with the patience and practicality to buy right with my mind as well as my heart - That said, I am finding myself being seduced by mods, and so I accept that I also may soon go the way of long time Corvette irrationals - I have purchased mods, joined my local Corvette club of mostly guys from Pax River NAS, can't wait for cruise ins, am wearing C7 apparel, and am talking this car with everyone - And, my C7 is just built, and its now only on its way to my dealer, and I don't even yet have it! - So I expect I shall have a few more things to say, but I also expect soon to do most of my talking with my clutch and pedal.

And, I am sure some have thought me sometimes a bit immodest - But Corvette and modesty are a contradiction in terms - I have never met a modest Corvette owner - We don't drive Corvettes to display our modesty - We buy mods to show off our C7s as uniquely great and ours, do we not? - How many Corvette people drive them in humility? - I have never seen a subdued Corvette or contrite owner - I have never known a Corvette or its owner to apologize for anything - The only contrition I have observed in a Corvette owner was for pretense - And, now, I am a soon to be Corvette owner, and with my moded Torch Red Adrenaline Red 3LT Z51 Vert with black wheels, red calipers, carbon fiber hood stinger, and carbon fiber everywhere inside and out, there shall not be anything reserved, discrete, or humble about my C7 or me - And, as I always say, all in good fun, "If you have it, flaunt it!"

Yep. You've got the same bug as the rest of us! You're already far down the never-ending path of self-gratification and incurable car culture craziness. Welcome aboard!

I have really enjoyed this forum - A little snarkiness from time to time, but that is OK - I tried to help forum members as to buying even if not always appreciated by some - I learned a lot from this forum and met some nice folks along the way - Looking forward to getting together with one of my forum friends in June - Others are welcome to join us in southern Maryland.

When some folks ask me what color I got, and I say red, they wince a little as being too flashy - But is that not part of the point of a Corvette? - For sure I'm going for the wow factor here - My Torch Red, as described previously, shouts, "Look at me; I'm all shiny, flashy, sleek, powerful, and sexy; I am a wonder to behold!!!" - I likewise shall have the swagger of my C7 when I am behind the wheel, or standing by my C7, or anywhere else - What my C7 shall not feel or say about me is "But, I'm with stupid" - My Torch Red C7 shall know I chose it very carefully and purchased it very smartly, and be as proud of me as I am of it - Part of the reason I painted it red with black was for its flashiness, and so it can be as bold, boisterous, and outrageous as it wishes where car and driver can never be too obnoxious - Strut your stuff, take no poisoners, and make no apologies - Below is one of my mods I got and is being shipped to me as I write and I don't have ry C7 yet, although my dealer told me yesterday it may come in by the weekend.

This is the fiberglass carbon flash painted front spoiler and side skirts for $1,500 I got from Lashway - There is a Z51 Torch Vert like mine pictured with the Carbon Flash painted "Aero Package" - There also is a white C7 pictured with the Aero Package - The only differences between the C7 pictured and mine it that mine also has the carbon fiber hood stinger and carbon flash painted mirrors and spoiler - Lashway says it actually looks better than the Carbon Fiber Aero Package that cost $2,500 - It had about 6 currently in stock and they are selling fast - The Carbon Flash Painted matches the rest of the C7 - Can't wait for my C7 to strut its stuff with me along for the ride of a lifetime in the Corvette for which I have waited a lifetime!

What can be better than drag main in my hot C7 drop top with my hotie 68 year old riding shotgun - http://www.bandmix.com/drzphd/

This is the Lashway Aero Package.
