If/When they put an I4 in the Camaro. I don't care if the 3rd gen had one. I will not buy another Camaro or American Car for that matter.

I'll get an M3 if they change the engine but JMHO a V6 Camaro (even with a turbo) doesn't have what it takes to be a muscle car. I'm not turning this into a vs thread but to me a muscle car is the same as what it was in 1969 a high horsepower, high torque V8.

But to each their own

the v8 sound and power is what muscle is. even if GM made a 6 or 4 banger turbo setup that was more powerful and faster than the old v8s. its still not muscle in my eyes.

Geez, can't the SS folks at least lay off the v6 Camaro in a "We don't want high revving Asian cars" thread?!

I've already seen this coming and I pretty much knew the second era of muscle cars would end as quickly as the first.

One of the reasons I ordered my SS.

Silly CNN....pretending to know what they're talking about...

I've moved this to the other cars/automotive section, fyi...

EDIT: You know when the "internet commentors" think this article is rediculous...you've hit a new level of low in 'journalism'. Reminds me a little bit of when someone predicted the complete failure of the Camaro.

You'd best start looking around then - it's a very real possibility.

...but what a shame to shut yourself out of a great bunch of cars and trucks over such a silly thing...

As soon as everyone accepts there are a lot of opinions on the subject...

That whole piece reads like, "Why Detroit sucks at making cars".

They've missed the point of each and every one of those vehicles. Great "reporting".

Everything is just a matter of time, it's hardly a risky move to predict the demise of something. The question isn't 'if' but 'when'.....and I think we have some time left.

Just read the comments...just proves the author really has no clue.

I can't believe he said we'd all be moving to "asian" cars...he doesn't even have the decency to at least say we'd be making the move to smaller cars in general..nope...he says asian cars.
