How about a round of applause for LBM. Isn't it great to have a pharmacist on staff here in the Ol' Farts thread? Yesterday 09:48 PM

For sure! Guess what the doctor gave me?A shot of Toradol helped on the way out. Have 5/500 Hydrocodone as well. Feel much better today Thanks for asking Wheeeeee.
Can I call it, or what?? My job security is knowing that the population is aging, and old farts need drugs. Lots of drugs.

Since I know a LOT of Walgreens pharmacists, and know that the majority of them don't have the time (or even care) to give you info... Colcrys needs to be stopped if you get diarrhea. And Indomethacin is the only anti-inflammatory that can cause significant drowsiness, probably shouldn't fly on it....

Now back to your regular Friday programming, I'm off to my real job..
Have a good day!

BUSDRVR - glad you are getting some meds for your ailment! Gettin' ol' ain't fer sissy's! (Not that you are gettin old, dude!!!)

Today is Friday. Now that means all you ol' farts need to post a picture. I don't have one with me in it here at work, but I found one some of you might be interested in....... This is the U.S.S. Blue - DD744. I served on the Blue from summer of '69 thru late '70. During Nam. We never took the Blue to Nam. The Blue was refit after the Korean conflict as an anti-submarine warfare type ship. So, we spent our time patroling the Pacific looking for foreign subs that might have evil intent. We located a few, and stayed on their tail till we were sure they headed home. Somewhere in the 90's I believe the Blue was de-commissioned. As such they probably used it for target practice and she sleeps in the deep.

Awesome pic and background Lightning! I'm still trying to figure out what to post. I've got a lot of cool airplane pics from decades ago, but I haven't scanned any. Been meaning to do that for awhile. It's a big job; so many. Haven't looked at them lately- I'm scared to find out how much they've faded.

Hope the meds got you feeling better Busdriver. But I might suggest taking those pictures down or pixellating the numbers on them. Too much info for people with devious intentions.
Sorry to hear that you are grounded. Are you on a class III medical certificate?

Diclofenac is a good anti-inflammatory for things like arthritis, but indomethacin is better for gout. It has some unique properties, so it's usually ONLY for gout (and for icepick headaches, which I take it for, and as an injectable in infants with heart defects). Don't forget to ask about preventative meds at your appt - keeping uric acid levels low is key in stopping gout attacks.

Having a weird Friday... one of my patients died unexpectedly...:(

Yikes! Hope that patient didn't pass away right there at your facility! :(

Okay, I know it's not technically Friday anymore, but I'm still up, and I finally came up with a picture contribution. I know it's another Mt.Rainer pic, but everybody seems to like them. I took this one from my driveway before work one morning.
