I think in that thread he may have been talking about the new Duramax for the full sized trucks.

Canyon, probably at Detroit.

Thanks for the clarification - these new mid sizers are really causing some tunnel vision for me! I hope everyone that has always said that they wanted a smaller diesel truck will actually step up to the plate. Should be a great seller if the price is right.

ugh I hope gm doesn't do something stupid and call the little diesel the "ecomax" or something hideous like that.

I think they are already calling it a Duramax...

Colorado will also offer the segment’s only diesel engine in its second year – a proven Duramax 2.8L I-4 turbodiesel already offered in global markets. The diesel engine will expand Colorado’s powertrain lineup to cover the broadest range of needs.

Just search on Trailblazer. It exists but I doubt you will ever see it here.

I'm not gonna lie, I like the front end and the BFG AT's. I'd have to see the truck in real life to see how the proportions make the truck look overall. I'm not a big fan fan of large squared wheel wells though. Its nice to see a new American compact truck and think it would be a home run with any kind of turbo diesel power plant.

I was just looking at the Equinox and to get the 3.6L over the base 2.4L, it's a $1,500 option if that is any indication to what it is going to cost to get the V6 or the new Duramax in the Colorado.

Yes also compare the markup on the Impala.

I found a curb weight on the international model that translated to about 4451 lbs (2.8 auto), that seems heavy doesn't it?

I wouldn't be surprised if the international version is beefed up a bit, since midsize pickups are generally the largest pickup you can buy in most parts of the world.
