This is the first time I've heard the red key voids the warranty. I doubt it's true.

Tracks have closed for many reasons, price of land, noise tracks create as development gets closer they get pushed out the list goes on. All the tracks that I have been going to in Southern Ontario are still open.

I just saw a thread over on the challenger forums and someone said that he heard this from a dodge tech but it's probably not true...hope not anyways.

Nahh, they built that for the new and improved run what you brung nights, where you try and out corner the disney monorail on a road course because nobody cares about drag times anymore, we only care how fast you can turn it.
LOL

"Undeniably a car for the road".

ZL1, GT500, Hellcat, are these not muscle cars? To bring chassis development into this discussion the way you do, on a car of this size and mass, is ignorant. The numbers don't lie, this one pulls 1/2 g higher than the 392 and does the figure 8 as fast as a car half it's size. What else do you need to know?

This isn't the 1970s, but Camaros and Mustangs still outnumber any other car at the strip.

...and THIS...which will sell in higher volume than EVERY Track Pack Challenger/CobraJet/COPO COMBINED...in its very short 1.5 year run, this-Gen...and make more dough for its manufacturer, too...

Dude, look at what GM is focusing on. Z/28 = track car. MRC in the ZL1 and 1LE is for the road course not the 1/4 mile. If you want to focus on 1/4 times I'd recommend spending more time on the Dodge/Ford site. GM is not making a 1/4 mile only car unless you want a COPO.

Well THAT'S good news. I'd hate to see you STILL going to tracks that are closed...

...which makes me think (amazing, eh?):

"Camaro SS gets stomped by GT and SRT"

"ZL1 SUX against 500 and Hellfire 'n Brimstone"

"Z/28 is GROSSLY overpriced"

"Who'd seriously consider a V6 in these cars?"

Right, Ford Fans, and Mopar Muthas?

Who sells more cars, in greater numbers, at "ridiculous" prices: Challenger, Mustang, or Camaro???

[crickets]

So who gets the "win" light each and every Quarter (mile?) on the ONLY "scoreboard" that counts?? The SALES Board.

Yup...the "tortoise"... CAMARO.

Ain't America a GREAT country?

Obviously, you don't write for a living. In all the blog posts written thus far, no one but you has written "the plan" so succinctly. Because pro writers get paid by the word/line/page, and you gave away the store for about $0.57...
I agree completely, and what is wrong with marketing that type of car? Believe it or not, there are tons of people that want cars like that including me. It's okay that it isn't your cup of tea, but it doesn't make it a bad car.
