i don't like the mustang dash, and i hate white gauges.
just seems, to me, they tried to hard to imitate the first gen camaro dash. the other dashes from gm have more of a cockpit look and feel.

Yea I've sat in a couple and it worked for me then, but that was months ago and I guess it's just been a while.

Malibu's only shortcoming is its lack of navigation...an issue that will be corrected with the EpII Malibu.
And maybe they good do a little more with the glove box area, very boring. Other than that though i like.

I've really never seen the purpose of factory nav. It's way more expensive. In my experience they're buggy as hell. And it's stuck in that one car.

They take peoples attention away from the road in my opinion, more so than a normal gauge/radio pod. Also, my father who wears glasses finds the light put off by the LCD's always reflects badly inside them causing some restricted view during nighttime most likely due to the angles of the glass and what the LCD is set at.

Plus I really dislike a big chunk of real-estate on my dash to be uglified by some giant LCD screen. They really put ones that are far far too big in dimentions to be anywhere near appealing.

The only one out of those dashes I could possibly stand is the CTS-V because it looks like it can retract into the dash.

The import interiors look horrible. I will never understand why Americans are willing to settle for the bland, boring styling of the camry over the Malibu.

What glass? Most nav. screens are made from a matte material.

Oh, and if you want distracting, try reading a map while driving on the highway at 70+ MPH.

Try and find your current location with a map...or glance at a screen that already has it displayed plus your destination plus your directions...

yeah NAV does nothing but HELP a person. MAPS are a stupid idea while driving. most new GPS windshield mounts offer voice turn by turn so you dont even have to look at it if you done want. it simply says "turn left on lake shore drive" or whatever.

or OnStar, which does the same thing. (and should interact with the HUD when we get it! )

Personally, I find big LCD screens appealing -- wouldn't matter if there was a nav function or not, .

Why I like base vehicles! I never want HUD or NAV in my vehicles. Fortunately my lovely wife of 13 years is the same...hates the gadgets as well.
