The two best shows are (were) Wheeler Dealers and Fantom Works. With Ed on Wheeler Dealers, you can clearly see him work on a car, taking the time to explain what he's doing. I will miss him due to the A-hole producers that want to cut the part of the show that I loved the most. FantomWorks is great as well, with accurate time that the customer has his car in the shop and, sometimes, actually sharing with the audience the actual cost of the restoration.

I thought RMD was in California. Doesn't really matter they both suck.

I wish they'd just build/fix cars and not add all the fake drama and B.S. deadlines. No sane person wants a complete custom job or full restoration done in two weeks.

And I'm so sick of them leading up to some major issue then cutting to a commercial. Then when they come back, it was nothing at all.

I watched a few episodes of that show. That guys doesn't seem to know very much about cars at all. And the woman they supposedly hired to help is image and change how he promotes himself is a "has been" model and B list actress. Its all fake.

Car Shows

I watch most of the shows but also get tired of the drama. My biggest complaint that I've voiced before, happens when they start a new engine. Car guys wait for that moment. We get to hear the starter and the out of time back fires. But the moment the engine starts, they play loud music that drowns out the sound of the engine.
It must be running because the characters often yell to each other, "sounds great", we will never know cause the music just keeps on.
