Wow...pretty good on the Vampire - the tubes are MK 36 SRBOC launchers to hopefully defeat the Vampire

Good on both, don't you mean?

The BAE Systems Mark 36 Super Rapid Bloom Offboard Countermeasures Chaff and Decoy Launching System (abbreviated as SRBOC or "Super-arboc") is a short-range mortar that launches chaff or infrared decoys from naval vessels to foil anti-ship missiles. Each launcher has three tubes set at a 45-degree angle, and three tubes set at a 60 degree angle, providing an effective spread of decoys and countermeasures to defeat radio frequency emitting missiles. The SRBOC can also be fitted with the TORCH infrared "flare" decoy system. A typical ship's load is 20 to 35 rounds per launcher.

The SRBOC is part of the combat systems of the Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate.

As of 2010, the Mk. 36 SRBOC is used by 19 navies around the world. It is similar to the NATO Sea Gnat system
It seemed too small for missiles. Plus the fixed emplacement with odd angles made it seem more like a defensive decoy system. But I had no idea if it was for chaff or flares ... so I just went with 'spoof launcher' to cover either one. Turns out, I was even more right than I expected as it can launch both.

I hear that indoctrination works better the earlier you start. Seems you've heard that too.

Yes. Yes I did.

I was looking for a spike, or thought maybe central screen could have been referred to as a 'dragon eye' by some (or is operated by a 'Mr Wyndham?'). It does seem that a warship's 'gottahavit', but that didn't seem right either. It wasn't blurry. No smoking monkey. No Camaro in there, though it could have been off of a Corvette.

I absolutely was not looking for myself in there.
