Hi, a few months ago I inquired here to see in anyone has tried the Sprintbooster. My complaint with my car was weak feeling throttle response, kind of a lackluster mushy feel in the pedal which I came to find out that its typical with Drive by Wire electronic throttles. No one here said they have tried the SB but a lot bashed the product and said just get a tune. The only problem with a tune is it voids your warranty so that made no sense with less than 5k on the car. Anyway sense the SB comes with a 30 day return I decided to give it a try. Just got in from testing it and..... the question is do I like it??????![]() Yes!...I do like it! First of it feels like the car has more low end torque at take off. My main complaint before was that about the the first 1/16 of an inch of pressing the throttle the response was very weak which was annoying with a manual trans because I had to be conscious of just how far to push the throttle when letting out the clutch, ussually I just over revved it slightly to make sure I was past the dead spot. On hills during roll back was a little more annoying. But with the SB its more linear, the throttle you give is what you get like a cable throttle. Stop light to stop its a whole new driving experience. The car seems to rev quicker, the car just seems more predictable at the throttle. Without the SB it felt like I had to give it more gas to get the revs going coming off a stop light in normal driving. Now I just touch the throttle and my revs are pretty much where I want it to be. I am ready to hit second quicker because first winds out quicker instead of that slow rev up the power band, that is unless I give it more gas which felt forced. It sounds better too because you dont have that annoying sound you get with a slow revving engine. My only question now is why didn't Chevy just program the throttle from the factory to do this. I feel I should not have had to purchase an after market product to do what could have been done at the factory unless its a gas saving technique. Bottom line is so far I like this product a lot.

• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower.
• Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times. • Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster. ^"feel"...does not mean it actually is. Cause if it was faster your 0-60 times would improve. Not trying to troll or thread crap.... but why would you spend money on something like this that.. • Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower. • Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times. Kinda like putting a sticker on my car saying 500HP.... it may look like it does...but it actually doesnt. Just curious. Don't take it the wrong way, simply asking a question. Edit: Just looked and I'm seeing these sell for $300.... PLEASE tell me you didn't pay that for this.

Why are you worried about how much I paid for it? I can afford it. I have the option to send it back but I wont. The car is quicker off the line. Going into second, third and fourth snatches enough to raise the front of the car because the revs are right where they need to be. Basically you don't know sh!t unless you have tried it. ![]() ![]() Try it then come back and we can discuss it. |

I spoke to one of the reps a few days ago and was told that the SB does in fact reduce E/Ts in many applications but they don't want the responsibility of making that claim. They prefer you try it yourself if it reduces your time its good, if not they can say they never claimed it. Also do a search and you will see lower e/t time slip comparisons with the sb. Thats all I have to say about. |

First time I've heard of a Sprint Booster, so I can't comment.
Would have to agree though, that anyone named Percy J Wellington III would be able to afford it!
