Yeah, but life goes on. We had good times for a while, but things went downhill. She ended up cheating on me, but felt bad about it and admitted it to me so we went to couples counseling, but we never really got over it. It ended up being just fighting and the occasional sex. There was no intimacy left. The split was actually more mutual than anything else.

I mean, I wish it hadn't ended, but the way things were going there wasn't really anywhere else for it to end up. Talk about a total mess.
