Tom Brady, sixth round draft choice, throwing to non drafted, 7th round, on their fourth team retreads beats the mighty first round drafted, number one offense that converted 1-8 third downs. That's more telling than than the one they didn't convert with 4:00 to play. By the way, that defense that gave up 5 consecutive scores to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, what was there NFL ranking, hmmm?

Here's what it is, Tom Brady wouldn't have done what he did, if the Falcons didn't hand it to him. It's that easy. Tom did great, as well as the falcons gave it away.

Simply put, Brady took advantage of the opportunities he got. Opportunities that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

You're grabbing at straws here. If we're looking at it from that perspective, you can say that Matt Ryan nor the Falcons did anything spectacular either, all they did was take advantage of the Patriots' offensive line poor play. You can argue it all you want, but if anyone is qualified to call someone else the Greatest of All time and say that the performance put on by Tom Brady in the Superbowl was legendary, then Troy Aikman would be it. and he said exactly that... |

The Falcons got outplayed and outcoached when it counted the most. I can't change your opinion because you're rightfully entitled to your own. But as stated before, what Tom and the Patriots' staff pulled off today was nothing short of legendary. Unfortunately for Atlanta, they'll go down infamy. It's going to be gutwrenching to see them end up on an ESPN special titled something like "Biggest Games Thrown Away" |

LOl.........they will never give credit, Pats D only allowed 21 points to the #1 offense in the league, only 7 in the second half, I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. "run three times and kick the fieldgoal", because we know there would have been no fumbles, tackles for losses......or wait, maybe a blocked or missed field goal attempt , naaaa that stuff never happens ,Falcons should have won !!!

What all of you keep failing to realize is the fact that Atlanta gave the Pats the opportunity to tie the game and send it to over time.
They had the ball four more times, not counting the fifth after NE tied the game. 4 incompletions cost them 2:40 of clock run off. The 3rd and 1 pass that resulted in a fumble is another 40 seconds. If they just run the ball the rest of the game, NE doesn't have the time to score the touchdown that tied the game. WORST PLAY CALLING EVER

![]() Yeah, that's almost the same thing. I'm not even a Patriots fan. The Falcons according to you, lost because they passed when they should have ran. The same exact thing happened to the Seahawks. Stay with me. I'll have to draw you a map. In crayon of course. |

I'm going to make this really simple for you. With 17 minutes left in the game ATL has a 25 point lead. They are going to get the ball 5 more times before the conclusion of regualtion. If they run the ball 15 times, and take 40 seconds off the clock each play, even if they don't get ONE first down, all they need to do is not turn the ball over. ATL had the fewest fumbles by running backs in the league this year. They know how to hold on to the ball. This runs 10 minutes and 40 seconds off the clock. ATL actually only had six minutes and 50 seconds of runoff. Atlanta only ran 4 running plays during this time frame. They averaged 5 yards per carry during the game. If they run the ball they win 99% of the time. On the PATS final drive during regulation, they started with 3 minutes and 51 seconds. Had ATL managed the clock, the ball and the game properly, by running the ball, NE gets it back with 1 second. The PATS played excellent in the fourth quarter, but ATL gave them the opportunity to tie the game by ridiculous play calls and poor clock management.
