I'm so glad you pressed charges. My brother in law had his truck stolen a year ago and didn't press charges, said he was just happy to get his truck back.

I can't stand thieves.
I lived in Tucson, AZ for 6 years and used my 2004 Silverado as my daily driver. I lived in an apartment complex where I saw evidence of cars being broken into and cars on cinder blocks in the morning. By complete luck, my truck was never stolen or broken into. However, I put a Club on the steering wheel EVERY time I left the truck (regardless of where the truck was parked). I also ensured I left nothing on the seats/floor/center console/etc. I never left a GPS or cell phone holder stuck to the windshield too. I'd like to think all of my theft prevention stuff helped but I still think I was extremely lucky. Yes, the Club won't stop someone from stealing the truck but it will slow them down and hopefully make them think twice about stealing it if they can find something easier...

thanks for all of the positive responses. I know this was a 1 in a million chance. I think the man upstairs may have helped me on this one. Phoenix PD did a great job. This day made me think about all of the people who dealt with these instances with worse consequences. I realize how lucky i was.

Thanks again!!

Glad it worked out for you. I was sitting in briefing discussing the stand off when I scrolled across your post.

You have to put it in the report that the passenger side DTRL is burnt out! lol! Lifetime replacement at the least. Seems like they are all toast. So glad you have it back. I was in your shoes once before.

Attempted Break-in

So glad you got your truck back and in one piece. Hopefully, the B------s do not take revenge on you, now, that they are out. Someone tried to steal my Dually a month, ago, but did not get it done. The Denver news says they are stealing these years of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and selling them to the drug cartels in Mexico for a premium. They used to hang horse thieves in the Old West. I am all for them doing that to car thieves now days.
