Hey, everyone.
Just want to share this recent posting by GMAuthority: http://gmauthority.com/blog/2016/07/...shots-testing/ After being a member on the Camaro6 forums for a long time, I've been looking at the 2017 Cruze. Unfortunately, I'm a big GM fan and Chevy runs deep for me; I also do like Pontiac but they're not around anymore. What's appealing to me is that the 2017 Chevy Cruze will have diesel and hatchback options; I hope that buyers can combine the two options for an interesting ride. Comparing the Cruze to the Camaro, sure the Cruze won't turn heads, but I need a daily driver as opposed to some who might be in a better position to buy a Camaro SS (more power to them with no pun intended). As of now, I've been looking at a V6 Camaro. I don't like the fact that the backseats are useless and there is limited cargo space; what's nice is that the Cruze might be able to solve all these problems. Now, the torque of the diesel could make up for some powerful acceleration—maybe not in Camaro territory, though. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Anyone currently looking at a 2017 Chevy Cruze? Are there any cars that one could cross shop a Cruze or Camaro with? I'm open to hearing new perspectives. I'd appreciate any insight, please! |

A Cruze Diesel is going to be nowhere near the performance of a Camaro V6, but it'll easily do high 40s to even 50 MPG without really trying.
If you need a fuel efficient daily driver, it'll serve you well.

Maybe a Charger is something you will like if you want backseat room? I assume it's considered a muscle car.

Are you looking for performance, room, and/or efficiency? What price range?

Pontiac G8 GT if you can find one in good condition. Not so great on fuel but it's got great performance and a lot of room for under 25k for one in great condition.
