Absolutely. Also don't be afraid to join some of these groups online. Everyone starts from square one anyway so why not start learning more info now?

The APC will clean them soot off pretty good. Then wipe down with damp cloth and you will be happy. But any chrome polish will work, not just Adams. Stop by your WalMart or Auto parts store and pick some up. The only chrome on my car is the exhaust tips, so chrome polish I bought 6 years ago has barely been used. A little goes a long way.

I returned Sunday from about a 900 mile round trip vacation. The car was all shiny and ready to leave, but of course, the morning we left, there were some very small showers in the area and well, it was dirty after the first 60 miles. Then we hit a couple more showers on the way up. Car was very dirty when we arrived. And well, the same thing on the way back too, so by the time I washed the car on Monday night, it looked like a DD after a month of driving. Now, it's all polished and shiny again, but still need to polish the exhaust and well, it was too freakin hot when I got off work yesterday, but it will get done before the weekend is here. I have a 1700 mile round trip coming up in Aug. That will be through the Appalachian mnts so the rims will be covered in brake dust... bad. I make this trip every year and it's a fun trip, but the clean up after is a lot of work (and I enjoy every bit of it too )

Where are you headed in the Appalachians? Can definitely agree on being way too hot to do anything.

I didn't get my vinyl (satin black vinyl I ordered yesterday is a much closer match to factory so I'll use that) until 9pm last night so that's gotta get put off till this weekend but I'm even second guessing that because Saturday will be 99 degrees, Sunday 100. Plus I have my girlfriends sisters wedding on Saturday, rehearsal dinner Friday and I'm having dinner with her parents tonight. So it might get put off till next week because of this heat

According to the HUD, I maxxed out at 1.15G's taking an offramp yesterday. Previous best for that particular offramp was 0.95G's. Corners are fun as hell in this thing.

I cut through on my way from Indy to Outer Banks, NC. I come down through WVA into Winston-Salem area then roll East on I-40.

Not a problem, I enjoy it. Sunday will be better, as the heat index is only supposed to be 102. (106 on Sat)

Will you be supervising? Aka drinking a pina colada while relaxing in the shade and telling him he missed a spot?
