Just got this from Classic Firearms. Finnish M39 (VKT). It's in really good shape. I'm very happy with it.

Now we are speaking my language. Nice Mosin Nagant. The M39 Finnish is probably the best made and highest quality example of the Mosin Nagant family except for the sniper versions. What year was your rifle made?

I haven't had it apart yet, but from the shape of the stock and the stock splice, it's a post war stock. The barrel is 1942. The hang tag shows a date of 201078, so I'm guessing it was reworked on October 20, 1978. I haven't been able to clean and inspect the barrel yet, but the crown is flawless. Everything about this rifle (except maybe the but guard, which is a bit beat up) looks like it is 5 years old. It's in really, really good shape.

Hey guys, looking for a little help. Who makes a good laser bore sight for a decent price? I can't see me spending $120 for something I may use only a few times. By the way, I took my own advise and got the Walther PPQ M2 in 9mm. Since I was trying to save money, I got it at employee pricing plus saved another $60 on top of that ($120 total) using points I had saved up. You only live once!! May as well go out with a bang!!!!!

I also very much like your Firehawk.

Thanks.

Yeah. Me too. Although the Camaro is a far better daily driver. It's just a much better built car. The Firehawk is just so much fun to drive. It gets thumbs up everywhere.

I've seen videos of the Binary System on Youtube. It does look fun, but the inability to put it on safe after pulling the trigger seems very dangerous.

Always loved the Firehawks. Does it have the predator hood? By far one of the sickest hoods of the 4th gens. My 4th gen is collecting dust in my garage. No way for beautiful car to die.

Ok, back to guns.

If it's in Binary mode and you don't want to shoot the second round hold the trigger in and switch it to semi mode it won't fire when you release the trigger.

You may want to check out these forums:

http://forums.gunboards.com/

They encompass the first Mosin Nagant site on the net and Finnish rifles are definitely part of their expertise.

Thanks ChrisBlair! This is my first firearm, so I need to learn what I need to clean them it and maintain it. I also need to find a decent (cheap) place to buy good ammo. I also need to find a good outdoor range (which are rare in Northern IL).

Oh yeah. I uploaded a bunch of pictures. http://imgur.com/a/YNS4T
