i think there is a good chance of there being more than 2 undefeated teams by the end of the year. bama-florida winner, usc, texas, and maybe cinncinatti. what do yall think? bcs is gonna be scrutinized big time.

The RedRiver Rivalry comes to be a Game where its 50/50 for either team on who is going to Win the Game......imo its all records out the door its who shows up. I would probably say after watching the first game OU's Deffense would have came out in the 2nd half last week and performed better than they did in the 1st. As for the offense I dont know what to say this kind of bounces back to Texas 2007 season when we had no Offensive line. A lot can happen in 4 weeks for sure with a Team but normally an Offensive lines needs about 7/9 games to fully Gell. Doctors can say what they want to us meaning the public about Sam Bradfords injury.....if he comes back in time he may be a lot better however I spoke with a doctor at the gym who has practiced medicine for 36 years and happens to work with a lot of the Dallas Cowboys and Tcu football team and even he said. " Bradford could probably return in a few weeks after good therapy and taking care of himself however there is no chance of being 100% maybe 75% possibly 80% but not 100% thats fully recovered " He also said 80% is pretty to get to however the last 20% is the hardest and longest percentage to overcome. He also mentioned when coming back at 80% you dont want to take many hits beccause basically you are at the stage of being an injury that is Scabbed over and another Hit could possibly remove the scab and take you back to day 1. Gresham can be replaced When you have the type of players that Texas and OU's has you always have good backups ready to step in. Ou's offense will get better no doubt however you dont fix those kind of offensive line problems in a few weeks or even a month. Thats Youth thats a HS kid playing a Mans game at a totally different speed than he is used to. I honestly will sit here and say if OU is smart they will keep landry in the game and make sure Bradford returns when he is "100%" landry played his first game give the kid a few weeks and as a season goes on he WILL get better he is VERY talented No doubt. IF he had UT's offensive line like Garrett Gilbert had this last week he would have probably done just as good. Colt and Sam both came into this league with AWSOME lines in front of them. Colt then lost that line in year #2 and got the $hit hammered out of him for 75% of the season what a lot of people dont remember Colt suffered a simular injury bot not as bad against Kstate in 2007 after that game he had a few weeks to rest and possbily get back for Texas aTm. When he returned a few weeks later He took 2 hits and was carted off on a stretcher after driving his shoulder back in the turf. You can bet your A$$ when Bradford comes back people will be going for him like a bounty hunter on a criminal. Unless a maricle happens I just dont see much improvment happening to OU's offensive line. Not saying it cant happen...they may even play against a bad deffensive line and equal out however saying a rookie line is going to get good enough to protect a QB who just came off an injury is very doubtful. As good as a coach as he is I think Stoops can prepare landry for any game in the next 6 to 8 weeks. Saying a return of Bradford would be a Win over Texas is pretty much saying Bradford is a 1 man team. You can give him 100% health yes it will help but there are other things needed to be fixed before anyone can say bring back Sam and we win. OU Fans are where we were a few years ago....Shocked , Scared and not knowing whats going to happen. Even though Today my team is healthy im taking one game at a time and knowing we are all 1 hit from left in the dark scratching your head. Bob needs to quit worrying about getting Bradford back in time for Texas and he needs to address everything else on the team and get some protection for Landry. With proper protection landry a 2 time state champion in HS could possibly show his talent dont take the first game behind that line what he is. Here's to a good game in october until then im not worrying about OU this week we have someone else. |

Funny how the first 4-5 games of the season truly don't matter when we converge in Dallas. Hell, I see more heart and grit in that game then I've been seeing in our bowl games lately. The last few years have been too close for comfort both ways.
I've really come to respect/appreciate the OL we had last year. Those guys made it look easy. Having a backup QB, inexperienced (penalty magnet) OL and so-so receivers have really changed the dynamic of last year's "machine offense". To top it off, the guy that came through when you needed him most (Gresham) will be watching from the sidelines. Thank god we have a stable of strong/healthy RB's and the defense is finally starting to look good. Now, I'm wishing Bradford and Gresham would have entered the draft and taken the money and props they both have earned. Could be interesting if BYU goes undefeated. That win over OU and the other ranked teams would support a bid for a title shot assuming there aren't two other undefeated teams with stronger SOS. God I love college football. |

Brandon hasnt had an injury his entire career. Hes an F'n horse.
This is his 3rd year starting at MLB for us, and his freshman year he took time at OLB and Special teams. I'd love spikes on my team. He fires up the Defense big time, makes some very clutch plays, has great hands (4 int's 3 for TD's last year). But more than that he has the ability to get so much bigger and badder. Hes sitting at 250 right now, but hes still lanky. First thing he's gonna do in the NFL is put on 10lbs every season his first 3 years till hes an athletic 6'3 280lb monster who plays angry at the MLB position. His nick name is The Predator ![]()

College Football Time...
Planning for the fall football season in the South is radically different than up North. For those who are planning a football trip South, here are some helpful hints. Women's Accessories: NORTH: Chap Stick in back pocket and a $20 bill in the front pocket. SOUTH: Louis Vuitton duffel with two lipsticks, waterproof mascara, and a fifth of bourbon. Money not necessary - that's what dates are for. Stadium Size: NORTH: College football stadiums hold 20,000 people. SOUTH: High school football stadiums hold 20,000 people. Fathers: NORTH: Expect their daughters to understand Sylvia Plath. SOUTH: Expect their daughters to understand pass interference. Campus Decor: NORTH: Statues of founding fathers. SOUTH: Statues of Heisman trophy winners. Homecoming Queen: NORTH: Also a physics major. SOUTH: Also Miss America. Heroes: NORTH: Rudy Giuliani SOUTH: Archie, Eli, and Peyton Manning Getting Tickets: NORTH: 5 days before the game you walk into the ticket office on campus. SOUTH: 5 months before the game you walk into the ticket office on campus, make a large financial contribution and put name on a waiting list for tickets. Friday Classes After a Thursday Night Game: NORTH: Students and teachers not sure they're going to the game, because they have classes on Friday. SOUTH: Teachers cancel Friday classes because they don't want to see the few hungover students that might actually make it to class. Parking: NORTH: An hour before game time, the University opens the campus for game parking. SOUTH: RVs sporting their school flags begin arriving on Wednesday for the weekend festivities. The really faithful arrive on Tuesday. Game Day: NORTH: A few students party in the dorm and watch ESPN on TV. SOUTH: Every student wakes up, has a beer for breakfast, and rushes over to where ESPN is broadcasting "Game Day Live" to get on camera and wave to the idiots up north who wonder why "Game Day Live" is never Broadcast from their campus. Tailgating: NORTH: Raw meat on a grill, beer with lime in it, listening to local radio station with truck tailgate down. SOUTH: 30-foot custom pig-shaped smoker fires up at dawn. Cooking accompanied by live performance from the Dave Matthews Band ... who come over during breaks and ask for a hit off bottle of bourbon. Getting to the Stadium: NORTH: You ask "Where's the stadium?" When you find it, you walk right in. SOUTH: When you're near it, you'll hear it. On game day it is the state's third largest city. Concessions: NORTH: Drinks served in a paper cup, filled to the top with soda. SOUTH: Drinks served in a plastic cup, with the home team's mascot on it, filled less than half way with soda, to ensure enough room for bourbon. When National Anthem is Played: NORTH : Stands are less than half full, and less than half of them stand up. SOUTH: 100,000 fans, all standing, sing along in perfect four-part harmony. The Smell in the Air After the First Score: NORTH: Nothing changes. SOUTH: Fireworks, with a touch of bourbon. Commentary (Male): NORTH: "Nice play." SOUTH: "Dangit, you slow idiot - tackle him and break his legs." Commentary (Female): NORTH: "My, this certainly is a violent sport." SOUTH: "Dangit, you slow idiot - tackle him and break his legs." Announcers: NORTH: Neutral and paid. SOUTH: Announcer harmonizes with the crowd in the fight song, with a tear in his eye because he is so proud of his team. After the Game: NORTH: The stadium is empty way before the game ends. SOUTH: Another rack of ribs goes on the smoker, while somebody goes to the nearest package store for more bourbon, and planning begins for next week's game. Nothing else in the universe comes even halfway close to the glories of Southern football! ______________________________ And for SEC Fans: HOW MANY SEC STUDENTS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB? At VANDERBILT: it takes two, one to change the bulb and one more to explain how they did it every bit as good as the bulbs changed at Harvard. At GEORGIA : it takes two, one to change the bulb and one to phone an engineer at Georgia Tech for instructions. At FLORIDA : it takes four, one to screw in the bulb and three to figure out how to get stoned off the old one. At ALABAMA : it takes five, one to change it, three to reminisce about how The Bear would have done it, and one to throw the old bulb at an NCAA investigator. At OLE MISS: it takes six, one to change it, two to mix the drinks and three to find the perfect J. Crew outfit to wear for the occasion. At LSU: it takes seven, and each one gets credit for five Semester hours. At KENTUCKY: it takes eight, one to screw it in and seven to discuss how much brighter it seems to shine during basketball season. At TENNESSEE: it takes ten, two to figure out how to screw it in, two to buy an orange lampshade, and six to phone a radio call-in show and talk about how much they hate Alabama. At MISSISSIPPI STATE : it takes fifteen, one to screw in the bulb, two to buy the Skoal, and twelve to yell, "GO TO HELL, OLE MISS". At AUBURN: it takes one hundred, one to change it, forty-nine to talk about how they did it better than at Bama, and fifty to get drunk and roll Toomer's Corner when finished. At SOUTH CAROLINA : it takes 80,000, one to screw it in and 79,999 to discuss how this finally will be the year that they have a decent football team. At ARKANSAS : None. There is no electricity in Arkansas

Brandon Spikes MLB <------------------------------------------------------------ This is for junkie..... 3. Major Wright FS <------- Im sure you know him. 3rd play of NC game... 4. Jermain Cunningham DE 5. Joe Haden CB <------ Beast. 215lbs, runs a 4.29, hits hard All 1st round guys, and all gone before Tebow |
