Cut grass(get a mask and an inhaler) wash cars..walk animals..get a paper route..hell out here at 14 years old you can become a bagger at grocery stores..heck open a lemonade stand..babysite...tons of things to do..buy some bubble gum machines and place them in local stores..(thats what my daughter did on her own...she saved up her money..bought 4 bubble gum machines and placed them at church) she makes good money on that

and the wonderful thing is..due to her hard work and efforts..im buying her a car for her 16th birthday..she thinks that I am only matching her dollar for dollar on what she has saved the last 3 years. But she has worked so hard and focused on her goal i thinks she deserves it

I imagine it is tough hanging out in automobile forums, talking to people that have and drive cool cars and wishing you were old enough to do the same.

But it's even tougher when you get to that age when you realize you have to work to achieve. Money doesn't grow on trees and the odds of winning the lotto are 1 in 170,000,000 (give or take a couple of million)

I have a feeling he'll figure it out. Seems like a smart kid.

Your a good dad , but just hope she appreciates it and you don't send the wrong message that daddy will buy it for me , it's cool that she worked hard for and deserves it just be sure she still understands that

I agree Austin is a hell of a smart kid and has a great future ahead of him , he just needs to lean a work ethic

heck. i was helping a roofing contractor when i was 12 & my brother's 14 & has been mowing & doing odd jobs for people to pay his own phone bill. i'm sure tac can find work somewhere

yep..I've worked hard..it's funny to see all my friends crunching for money while I can just enjoy doing whatever I want to, like the race this weekend. I just can't wait for my car!! found out today I'm #6 at the dealer at 1100 maybe I will be picked up by the end of this month!!!
