Scion Is No More
I hope the title is not too gruesome, but I was looking on AutoGuide's website, and I found the article in the link, peeked at it with 3D Touch (and yes, I do have an iPhone 6S), and disregarded the other articles I was going to look at. The brand had bad sales, and now it's another brand going outside of business, just after Ford phased out Mercury.
Here is the article http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...%20Subscribers |

Aaaand nothing of value was lost.
FR-S should've been a Toyota in NA from the start. Everything else is disposable and utterly forgettable (like pretty much all of Toyota's lineup).

Speaking if Toyota, Lexus and all their vehicles are pretty much unforgettable because now they're putting out new vehicles like crazy and putting grilles that look like an hourglasse, I like it, but I think it does look like an hourglass. |

My wife has a Scion tC. The interior of that car is full of cheap parts that mark when touched, and has absolutely no sound dampening.
It is, however, ubelievable useful for a vehicle built on a Corolla platform. At various times, we have fit a 6 foot ladder with paint supplies, 25 bags of mulch, an office desk, a patio table and chairs, a high back leather chair (full assembled) and many other things in the car WHILE CLOSING THE HATCH. At this point, I'm convinced that nearly anything that will fit in the back of a mid-size truck will fit in the tC. When we put the desk we bought in the car and closed the hatch, we actually watched someone try unsuccessfully to fit the same desk in a VW Touareg SUV. Essentially, what I'm saying is that I love the car (its a 2 door coupe) as a truck, but think it fails miserably as a daily driver, which might be why Scion no longer exists. |
