Actually, you did it at least once. There were others. I wasn't going to single anyone out, since it is a fairly common mistake people make. But since YOU mentioned it...

yea I wouldn't blame "top tier gas" for this issue at all. its more than likely caused by direct injection and the PCV system.

Some companies have a second set of port injectors (not direct injectors) that run when needed to help clear off the carbon build up and optimize performance.

Looks like lying is a corporate philosophy that trickles clean down to VW mechanics. I will never own any VW product.

Does anybody not find it odd that ARCO is listed as top tier? I have always heard otherwise.

I noticed Costco upgraded their product a few years ago so they could "join the club". Didn't know about ARCO.

As others have said has nothing to do with what gas is being used. Has everything to do with the fact the engine is direct inject.
