New 2016 Camaro Owner
Hey everyone! Nice to meet you all. My name is Keon and i am a proud new 2016 Camaro owner residing in Queens, New York. Just picked up my new Camaro on Christmas Eve 12-24-15 on a rainy night. So for my first post i will not make this too long of a story on how i ended up getting my new car but here it goes hehe...
Since 1994 i have been leasing cars but the most recent car i got out of was a $60,000 2013 BMW 5 series with M sport package. While the car was fun to drive and had most loaded options i felt i was missing something more, much more after driving a 2015 Stingray rental at Budget rent a car in Florida 2 times The 6.2 V8 engine was calling my name after i came back to New York. I knew i couldn't get a Corvette at this time due to no back seat, i cant say too much for this new 2016 Camaro i picked up but it has one my 5 year old daughter can fit in to the booster seat comfortable is all i was caring about, same for my wife too lol, she was worried i could tell but we have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder for the family trips, well some of them that is! My first American car was a 1988 Chevy Spectrum Turbo i had that in 1992, was a fun 5 speed car back in the day but nothing on the new cars. So to make this long story a bit shorter now, I was looking at the Camaro 2SS online before they came out this past year but still had 5 months left on my BMW lease. I knew winter was coming but after going online and seeing they had 1 White 2SS Camaro with all the options i wanted minus the Black Emblems at a dealer not too far from me i called and next day before Christmas Eve i was there working the trade in and deal. I couldn't resist at all! they took the 5 payments, most likey rubbed it into my new lease and Christmas Eve morning i picked up my new Camaro 2SS. Was raining and crappy weather the whole week, i was away but came home to a freshly bathed in my garage, Camaro SS! I love my new baby 100% This is one beast of a ride. The sticker was $48,875. I will post more about the options it has soon. I did get the upgraded $895 exhaust and magnetic ride jammy. I cant speak more highly about this car. Car and Driver car of the year made my day better after seeing that first day i got it i started coming on the forums here. Looks like a great group of people and look to get help and give help to others along the way! Today i tinted the windows and added the led license plate bulbs after reading here on the forums how easy it was, that was awesome and pictures coming on them as well soon. Pictures below are before i tinted it.... LOVE MY NEW 2016 CAMARO!!! |

Keon, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

To be honest i think between $500 - $600 depending on down payment ect. on a 39 month lease. I had about $3000 in payments left on my BMW but wanted to get out of it badly for this beast so took the hit
Thank you for the comment as well!I just took the plunge and bought the 5 spoke black/red outlined rims and tires i found on a personal ad somewhere. Got a great price and they will be here next week i will install them. Also ordered the front and rear black Chevy emblems, also black center caps with the "SS" emblem. God my wife is gonna kill me after all the money i spent today lol, I just got the tints done 2 days ago. Pretty much after next week im gonna leave the car alone for a bit as the few things that i was wanting and missing on them will all arrive ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope the basement bed is comfy for me after the mrs. see's all the heavy mail coming, specially the rims and tires mwahahahahha!!!Here is the picture after the 30% tint job i wanted to share as well as the simple rear license plate led bulbs i put in after reading the forums how easy that was, thanks again for all the comments, i really learned alot from this forum and love this dam car so much that if my wife did kick me out of the house i would sleep in the car, in the front seat that is hehehehehehe
