Battery tender?
Should I buy the jr or go for the plus? I like that the jr plugs directly into the wall. And I can buy 2 of them for the price of 1 plus.

I would go for the plus but that's my opinion. Never go cheap.

I went with the plus. It's a big battery.

I have the Jr. and have never had a problem with it not being adequate for my needs including the Camaro, lawn mowers, tractor. It may take a little longer than the Plus, but I have a regular battery charger id I am in a hurry.

Jr. works great and less bulky.

I had both JR and Plus and neither would get my battery to full charge when the car was only a yr old, in fact they shut off after reaching their internal timer limit
I switched to a CTEK 4.2 amp tender and BAM all was good No guessing with the CTEK as it has separately labeled lights for each stage If your car is going to be kept outside I'd go with a CTEK. If inside then I guess you'd be OK with a Deltran but I'd go with the Plus as the JRs are more for motorcycle and small car batterys. |

I use a Jr as well. Lots of aftermarket stuff that drains, so as soon as I pull into the garage I connect under the hood. I leave it connected all winter, summer only tires so she's in hibernation for several months.
A few months ago I left the inside lights on in my truck. Went out to start it, dead, nothing, no clicking no power whatsoever. Connected the Jr and four or five hours later it had enough juice to start. But that was a one time thing, glad I had one, but I use it mainly on the car just to float the battery. |

I have the Jr. and have put the car away for 6 years with no issues. It works just fine and I wouldn't spend the extra money unless you are using it for other things too.

I bring the battery inside, and hook it up to my JR in the basement. Works great!
