Got back from Joplin.. well Carl Junction late last night. We went up there for my dads high school reunion and so my parents could look at properties up there.
We found one property that is very promising. May be moving to the small town of Granby Mo. and racing at Mo-Kan Dragway as my new home track. I went to watch their bracket racing program sunday afternoon, they do this amazing thing, they race full 1/4 mile!! Will post pics later. Got to explore the abandoned Joplin 66 Speedway also. I got to go one time in 2004 while evacuating hurricane Rita, with my dad and uncle. The track closed at the end of the 2004 season, and has been abandoned since. This is how it sits today. Ghost track hunting is a strange passion of mine, besides racing my own car, I like to find these abandoned and forgotten speedways and dragstrips, find out more about them, and if im lucky, get to explore them as I did this one. Gonna make another series on my youtube channel about it.
