Camaro, Mustang, Challenger Tuning?
I recently added headers and custom dyno tune to my SS. The car is so much better, it's really kind of hard to believe. It is the best money I ever spent on a modification, bar none.
My question is, do the Mustang and Challenger respond to a tune and headers with the same effect? Are they easy to tune? I read about the Hellcat and how it has insane power. Can you tune a Hellcat, add headers and get huge gains? If so, Katey bar the doors! That thing is a beast! How about the new Corvette? Can it be tuned too? If this is a stupid question, my apologies. The last time I owned a muscle car, an Edlebrock manifold, headers and a bigger 4-bbl carb was the ticket. As for modern muscle, I've been pretty much confined to Camaro knowledge. I do have a lot of experience tuning Harleys, but, other than AF ratios, a simple twin cam engine is nothing like the modern V8. Teach me, Obi Wan Kenobi... I am a mere grasshopper.

Challenger not so much.
Coyotes love tunes. Intake/header/exhaust/tune combos usually crank out 420+Whp on new Mustangs. |

You can pretty much tune any OBDII car in the modern world. If HPTuners or SCT (there are others) do not cover it, there is always the piggyback option.

I don't have too much experience with the Challengers and Camaros. I do know tuning for the new Challengers like the Hellcat is very limited and still extremely new.
The 5.0 responds well to mods. My 5.0 is making 443/388 with a rich tune on roughly 96 Octane (mixing 93/100) If I switched to E85 I can see my car putting down 450+ RWHP and 400 or so RWTQ consistently. I don't want to invest into Injectors and have to test the E85 at every station to make sure it is pure enough to run. From what I've seen, Camaro's are super easy to tune and the best thing to do is a Cam swap with bolt-ons and supporting mods. Should put you very close to 500 RWHP if not over, depending on if you go Long Tubes or not.
