Mercedes SLR McLaren Speedster In The Works!

To save weight, the air conditioning and other non-essential bits have been tossed, and only the twin hoops remain of anything resembling a roof. Fast? Yeah. The hope is a top-speed of 217 mph, meaning it will outrun just about everything Mercedes produces.

The cost for one of the 75 McSupercars? Around $1.2 million is the current estimate, reflecting the extreme nature of the car and the extreme weakness of the dollar. The new McLaren could come out as soon as the end of the month. McShhhh! Don't tell SLR Guy.

the light closest to the Mercedes emblem is a fake.

I just noticed something. The exhaust on the SLR are on the sides close up to the wheels. I can't see them there, OR at the back, or ANYWHERE! lol

If you look closely, the front end looks like a normal SLR but the back end looks reworked.

yeah, they definetly face-lifted...rear-lifted the SLR.

I bet that is the new SL they are playing with.

The SLR Vert has been out for some time now.

I drove the SLR Coupe..Very fun car..not my cup of tea for the 709k the dealer paid for it. I drove it around Palm Beach for a few long enough to get into it

I agree it is the SLR Vert with no windsheild. New enhancements.

Still makes the think they are trying stuff for the new SL.
