first time chevy owner, Kings Bay GA
picked up my 2010 Camaro 2SS about two weeks ago and it was my first sports car, previous vehicles were lifted trucks but don't really go off roading any more. have a couple questions. how hard/time consuming is it to remove my white stripes and does it look better without. also what aftermarket rims, I know I want black for sure, I like the ZL1 rims but don't want to look like i'm making it a ZL1.
thanks, CJ |

Welcome aboard. I personally like stripes on the Camaro. I have the black matte twin stripes down the hood and trunk lid. I would keep them. I can't speak about the wheels as I like the 20" Midnight Silver ones I have.
Post up some more pics.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Welcome! Removing the stripes. If this CAMARO sat outside a lot there could be a color difference if u took them off. Not a stripe person either. Also get what ever wheels u like its your CAMARO! Just depends on what u want to spend.

Congrats. and welcome!
My personal preference is no stripes as well. As for wheels, do what you want, its your car.

I vote remove the stripes and maybe even put another color like dark silver or even a black on your blue car would look good.
I have ZL1 style rims from Factory Reproductions. Fairly inexpensive. They have matt, satin, gloss, etc. I ended up going 1 inch wider than stock all the way around. I bought real ZL1 center caps off eBay so they'd have the Chevy bowtie. As long as you don't put on any ZL1 badging, hardly anyone will call you a poser for "faking" a ZL1 -- these are just the coolest rims for a Camaro out there! They totally changed the way my ride looks and I get a lot of compliments.
