If you go to each companies site and build the cars the cost for the Scatpack (Challenger Scatpack is only listed right now) is 38k and the Caddy 72k check that yourself that is 33k dif but that is in the US as with GM cant get that car in Canada LOL

At least Dodge will sell all their current models to all us Canadians can't say the same about GM

Not my fault you live in Canada pal. Can I buy either car from the companies website? Nope. I have to buy from a dealer. What do the dealers charge for a new CTS-V sedan? $60,048. I paid $61k including tag, tax and title for my V in 2012. TrueCar says the average Charger shatpack sells in my area for $40,196.

Let me do the math for you since you're struggling.
$60,048 - $40,196 = $19,852.

So let me get this right, we can’t take the build price ($72,195.00) supplied on the manufacturer’s own website as the basis for the vehicle base price? You state that the CTS-V is $60,000 car all day, every day. Does this mean that sales for the CTS-V are so bad that Cadillac now has to offer an automatic $12,000.00 discount to move them? Or is the base price listed on Cadillac’s own website wrong?

The V has never been and will never be a high volume car. It is NOT a mainstream brand. Recall the CTS-V2 has been in production since 2008. It is at the end of its cycle with the V3 replacement already announced. All cars several years in to their life cycle sell well below MSRP. This is nothing new. I can get a Dodge Viper with a $92k MSRP for $74k. Manufacturers can suggest whatever price they want. That doesn't change the fact that I can buy a V sedan today for $60k, or a Charger shatpack today for $40k.

It does not matter if you pay 60 it is still a 72K car If a guy pays a 20k or 30k markup on a 60 car then the car is a 80 or 90K car NO it is not, same if you pay under, look at all the car comparisons that CD does they show the base price on the cars they compare not what they may be able to get the car for because they know some guy that can get it for 15k off.

First off, I don't know where you came up with this $72k number. There was no 2015 V sedan. The 2014 V sedan MSRP is $67k. Car&Driver doesn't pay for my cars, do they pay for yours? newmoon said the V costs $30k more. He never said the manufacturer suggested $30k more. He said it costs more. What it costs is what people pay. What people pay is $60k. You don't have to like it, but it is the truth. If it's a $72k car (according to you) then I got a steal of a deal...just like everybody else.

That's the price of a limited edition (n=500), last run coupe for 2015. newmoon was talking about my V, which is a sedan in this thread about...sedans.

Ok then lets use the 2014 model which would be the last (Sedan), it's MSRP is still way above 70k.

Except that it is not. Edmunds doesn't set the MSRP, Cadillac does. The MSRP for the 2014 sedan according to Cadillac is $67k. Started at $59k in 2009 and crept up a little every year. Truecar will show you MSRP, invoice, and actual price paid for every configuration and every year.

Ok we will use your numbers 67k base, so the last CTS-V sedan was priced approx. 29k more than the present ScatPack. For 29K I hope it handles better than the ScatPack because straightline acceleration will be close.
